Immigration Reflection

Our discussion on Thrusday for Immigration was like Palo said at the end one of our best ones we have done. I agree. Everyone had something to say. And although we had our hot spots it was settled with civility. As I was listening to the talking going on with everyone I realized that not everyone felt strongly or weakly on this subject. Enough to get us to say something. It was a lot of debating and thinking about a solution, how much of immigrants are taking jobs, whether or not thy were a threat etc. It was even considered that we should give Arizona back to Mexico. Another thing was that of why the government step within this issue and do something directly. Like that of a national law that takes effect in every single state, all 50 of them. That need to abide by it, instead of having separate ones. Something else that caught my attention was what Robert said about if the US stepped in Mexico to make things better what could happen. A lot of people debated on this saying that the Mexican Drug Cartels wouldn't go up against the United States military. Then Robert concluded that what if these Cartels decided that they would start hurting innocent people because they don't want anything happening to there business. A lot of 'what if' speculations were thrown around. The final person to speak settled I think at least for me what I was thinking during the whole 30 minutes. Which was what is there to talk about?
